I'm working on earning my Masters in Information Technology, with the
entire curriculum being self-taught or learned through distance
education. I am a very visual person, so I often use the white board in
my office to solve various assignments for my classes. Previous to
using scanR, I would draw out solutions to assignments on the white
board in my office, then have to hand copy the solution to paper (to be
scanned and sent to the instructor for grading). I can't tell you how
many times I missed a small notation or label that would turn an
otherwise correct solution into an incorrect one. But, since I've
started using scanR, I simply draw my solutions on the white board, then
use scanR to generate a PDF-version of my ideas and solutions, which can
then be directly sent to the instructor. Because my entire "original"
solution on the white board is accurately represented, you could say
that scanR has helped me move to the head of the class!
