I recently ordered a textbook from half.com which I never received. About a quarter into the semester (still without having received my textbook) we had a test and none of the local text book stores had it in stock and it had to be special ordered. I used scanR by taking pictures of the Textbook pages from a friend's book (seeing as how I had already ordered the book twice, I didn't see anything wrong with this) so that I could study on my own time without bothering someone else for the book. scanR did a great job of recognizing the text and I passed my test!
