Do you remember when you first discovered James Bond spy novels when you were a kid? I was fascinated by the technology, and the device I wished for the most was the miniature camera.

At some opportune moment during a formal reception at a foreign diplomat's residence, the dapper hero would slip upstairs, rifle through some papers, and take some photographs. These would be developed and enlarged later, after he successfully evaded the sub-machine gun toting goons and the dogs.

Now, thanks to scanR, I have even better technology in my pocket. I don't smoke, so it's appropriately disguised as a telephone, not a cigarette lighter. And when I'm doing some research in a colleague's cubicle, I can skip the trip to the office copier or dark room and simply send the image off in a message. By the time I'm back at my desk the critical documents are waiting in my email. I'm no longer burdened with case files and paper, so I look stylish and confident as I stride through the halls.

Thanks, scanR, for bringing convenience and some 00-thrill to my otherwise routine office job.
