Check your camera phone
scanR is designed for camera phones that can take 1 megapixel or larger photos and can send them using MMS, picture messaging or email.
Camera resolution requirements
- Whiteboards: 1 megapixel minimum
- Documents: 2 megapixel minimum
- Business cards: 2 megapixel minimum
Some camera phones are better than others. You can check the quality of your camera phone at CheckMyCameraPhone.com. If you don't see your camera phone listed, test it and add the result for others to see.
Check your digital camera
Nearly all digital cameras work well with scanR for whiteboards, documents and business cards. Set your camera resolution to 1600x1200 or larger and save your photos as JPEG files.
scanR tips
- Be sure your camera is set to its highest resolution and quality settings.
- Use in well-lighted areas and hold the camera about 12" from documents.
- Add doc@scanR.com, wb@scanR.com and bc@scanR.com to your phone's address book.
